Arizona Cardinals offensive guard Chase Bisontis is expected to miss his entire rookie season after sustaining a torn MCL in his left knee during a preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The injury occurred in the third quarter of the game on Thursday when Bisontis's knee was fallen on.
Bisontis, the 34th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, was taken off the field by trainers and carted to the locker room. He did not return to the game, which the Cardinals won 27-14.
Following further tests, it was revealed that Bisontis has a torn MCL and is scheduled for surgery next week. While he is expected to make a full recovery, he is likely to be sidelined for most, if not all, of the 2026 season.
Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur described the injury as "not good" after the game, awaiting the results of further tests. The rookie had impressed the Cardinals' coaching staff during training camp. Bisontis, a standout player from Texas A&M, was expected to compete for playing time at right guard with starter Isaiah Adams during the upcoming regular season.
