The Arizona Cardinals have informed the Denver Broncos that they have no intention of trading star tight end Trey McBride, according to ESPN.
The Broncos, who currently hold a 6-2 record and lead the AFC West, had inquired about McBride's availability ahead of the NFL's Nov. 10 trade deadline as they look to bolster their offense. However, Arizona, despite their 3-5 standing, has made it clear that McBride is not available.
McBride, 26, has been a significant contributor for the Cardinals, recording 66 receptions for 544 yards and five touchdowns through eight games this season. He is under contract with Arizona through the 2029 season, having been a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Broncos' offense has faced challenges this year, ranking third in yards per game and 21st in points per game entering Week 9. Head coach Sean Payton recently resumed play-calling duties in an effort to improve the unit.
Despite offensive struggles, Denver has won four consecutive games, including recent victories over the Seahawks and Chiefs. The team's win against Kansas City last Sunday was secured by a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.
The Cardinals have also been active in trade discussions, recently sending quarterback Jacoby Brissett to the Baltimore Ravens and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans.
