Caitlin Clark overcame a first-half ankle injury scare to record 29 points and 10 assists, leading the Indiana Fever to a 98-87 victory over the Dallas Wings. The win propelled the Fever to the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

The game, played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, saw a close contest throughout the first half. Both teams struggled offensively early, with the Wings holding a slim 37-35 lead at halftime. It was at the end of the first half that Clark rolled her ankle while on defense, leaving the court and heading to the locker room, raising concerns for the Fever's bid for first place.

However, Clark returned to start the second half, and the Fever's offense ignited. She finished the game with a double-double, supported by strong performances from teammates Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 23 points to extend her franchise-record streak of 20-point games to 18, and Tyasha Harris, who made all four of her 3-point attempts.

Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers also had a standout performance, matching Clark with 29 points, along with six assists and six rebounds. Despite missing several key players, including Azzi Fudd, the Wings managed to keep the game competitive.

The victory gives the Fever the lead in the Eastern Conference over the Atlanta Dream. Indiana is scheduled to face the Dream on Sunday in a pivotal matchup for conference positioning.
