Caitlin Clark achieved a career-best performance Friday, scoring 45 points to lead the Indiana Fever to a 110-107 victory over the Seattle Storm. The guard also recorded 10 assists, four steals, and two blocks in the game played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Clark's 45 points surpassed her previous career high of 35 points, set earlier in her rookie season against the Wings. This performance also sets a new single-game scoring record for the Indiana Fever.
Clark became the first player in WNBA history to achieve a game with at least 40 points and 10 assists. She also reached another milestone, becoming the fastest player in league history to make 200 career three-pointers. She accomplished this in 74 games, surpassing the previous record of 81 games held by Katie Smith.
"I just thought I was aggressive from the start," Clark said after the game. "Miss a shot, come back and make the next. My team needed me to step up. … This game was great, but let’s move on to the next one."
Fever coach Stephanie White had indicated before the game that Clark was on a minutes restriction as she manages a back injury sustained earlier in the 2026 season. Clark played 29 minutes, which is consistent with her season average of 29.5 minutes per game.
"I know what I’m capable of. I know what this team is capable of and it’s my job to help us win and be the best team in the WNBA," Clark stated regarding her performance and team aspirations. "I don’t think we’re there yet and it’s my responsibility to get us there, so we’ll keep working."
