Brandon Aiyuk and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, appeared outside the San Francisco 49ers' offices on Friday, a day after Aiyuk reportedly filed for reinstatement with the NFL and indicated his intention to return to practice. Despite not taking questions from reporters, Rosenhaus issued a statement.

"Out of respect for you guys, we’ll make this brief," Rosenhaus said. "Obviously, Brandon is here to meet with the team. Fortunately, he’s feeling good physically. He’s healthy and ready to get back to work. We don’t really have any comment about where he is going to play. We’ll keep that between us and the Niners. Obviously we are here with all of the right intentions."

Aiyuk, who suffered a serious knee injury requiring multiligament surgery, briefly added, "I am feeling grateful and healthy through a long recovery process, rehab process. I am back to 100% and looking to re-extend into the National Football League."

This appearance comes as Aiyuk owes the 49ers approximately $13 million in bonus forfeiture due to leaving the team about three-fourths of the way through the 2025 season. The team had previously stated that Aiyuk had played his last down for San Francisco. The 49ers paid Aiyuk a $23 million signing bonus in 2024 and a $22.9 million option bonus in 2025, totaling $45.9 million.

Adding to the complex situation, reports indicate Aiyuk has an outstanding warrant for his arrest related to a reckless driving charge. Police were reportedly seen outside the stadium on Friday morning on multiple occasions. It remains unclear if any arrangements were made between Aiyuk's representatives and law enforcement away from public view.
