A Boston local has found love with a fan of the Scottish national football team after a chance meeting at Fenway Park in June. Jill Roberts, 42, encountered Tommy Morrison, 38, who was among thousands of Scotland supporters in the city for a match.

Roberts, a bisexual woman, was attending a Red Sox game on Pride Night with friends when she met Morrison. "As we left each other – him catching the train and me walking with my friends to our cars – I turned to my friends and said I wish I had gotten his number," Roberts told The Sun. She described an "instant chemistry" between them, which was also captured in a viral video of their meeting.

After the game, Roberts was able to get Morrison's contact information through a mutual acquaintance. Morrison, who had traveled to Miami with other Scotland fans, has since returned to Boston multiple times to visit Roberts. Their relationship has been documented on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, with many videos garnering significant attention.

Roberts stated that both she and Morrison were single and felt an immediate connection, attributing it to a similar sense of humor and a deep, undeniable bond. "We have also experienced enough in life to know when something is worth pursuing, even if it seems a little risky or unconventional. Life is too short to live in fear," she said. She also noted that the relationship felt too special to let pass.

The couple is now officially together and plans to visit each other regularly. Roberts has booked a trip to Scotland for later in the summer. "I think we both went into this simply open minded without expectations or any type of pressure," Roberts concluded. "But we quickly realised that our connection runs deeper than just a summer fling, and we are excited to pursue things further in whatever way feels right to us both."
