The Broncos and Chiefs are expected to be contenders in the AFC West division. The Broncos are looking to build on recent success, with quarterback Bo Nix returning after ankle surgery. Nix had a strong rookie campaign, and his team improved significantly in his second season, reaching the AFC Championship game before an injury sidelined him. He is aiming to improve upon his previous statistical performance.
The Chiefs, who have been an elite team in recent years, experienced a challenging season last year, which ended early for quarterback Patrick Mahomes due to knee and leg injuries. Mahomes is reportedly ready to play for Week 1, and his performance in his first game action since the injury will be closely watched.
The game is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast on ESPN from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
