Liverpool is on the verge of completing a club-record transfer for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the French international set to undergo a medical in the coming 24 hours. The agreed-upon fee for the 23-year-old is an initial £106 million, with an additional £17 million in potential add-ons, bringing the total to £123 million.

Barcola is expected to sign a five-year contract with Liverpool. His impending arrival marks the most expensive signing of the current summer transfer window. The barber of the French star, Enzo Dias, shared a video on Instagram of himself preparing Barcola's hair, captioning it "Last ride for Bradley Barcola before he leaves" and "last cut for Barcola before Liverpool." This social media activity has signaled the final stages of the transfer process.

Liverpool made significant progress in negotiations with PSG earlier this week, following several weeks of discussions aimed at reducing the French club's initial valuation, which reportedly started at £145 million. Sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon have led the negotiations.

Barcola has been a primary target for Liverpool for several months, identified as a key player to help fill the void left by Mohamed Salah's departure to Trabzonspor. The club had previously seen a bid rejected for Yan Diomande, who subsequently joined Real Madrid.

Barcola, 23, is set to become the most expensive transfer of the summer window

Barcola rose through the ranks at Lyon's academy before spending the last three seasons at PSG. During his time with the Parisian club, he secured two Champions League titles and three Ligue 1 championships. The winger represented France at the recent World Cup, scoring against England in the third-place play-off match. He registered 39 goals in 152 appearances for PSG. His transfer is expected to be a significant boost for Liverpool's new head coach, Andoni Iraola.
