Aston Villa has completed the signing of 18-year-old Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain. The transfer fee is reported to be 55 million euros, equivalent to approximately £47 million.
Mbaye contributed three goals and two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions last season, helping PSG secure both their Ligue 1 and Champions League titles. The young winger also represented Senegal in all four of their matches at the 2026 World Cup. During the tournament, he scored against France in a 3-1 defeat, becoming the youngest African player to find the net in a men's World Cup.
Mbaye becomes the latest attacking player to join Aston Villa under manager Unai Emery, following the arrivals of Alejandro Garnacho, Johan Manzambi, and Nicolas Jackson.
