World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is embracing a post-Wimbledon getaway in Mykonos, Greece, alongside her fiancé, Georgios Frangulis. The tennis star, 28, has been seen enjoying the Aegean Sea and sharing affectionate moments with Frangulis.
Sabalenka's Wimbledon campaign concluded with a last-16 defeat to Naomi Osaka. The match marked her earliest Grand Slam exit since the 2022 French Open and her first straight-sets loss at a major in 122 matches. This result extended her wait for a singles title at the All England Club.
Following the tournament, Sabalenka expressed her disappointment, stating, "I f***ed it up this year. Next year I'll try to do better." She added that her immediate plan was to "get completely drunk, forget about tennis, and try to get in better shape."
Sabalenka has also addressed online criticism regarding her focus, sharing TikTok videos that playfully respond to comments suggesting she prioritizes social media over tennis and questions her World No. 1 ranking. She captioned one video, "Thank you guys for the advice!" and referred to her holiday activities as "My version of therapy."
The couple, who became engaged in March, have been seen embracing and enjoying their time together. Frangulis presented Sabalenka with a diamond ring during a candlelit and flower-adorned proposal.
Sabalenka's season has seen mixed results in Grand Slams. She reached the Australian Open final in January but lost to Elena Rybakina. Her French Open bid ended in the quarter-finals against Diana Shnaider. Despite these setbacks, she has maintained her World No. 1 ranking and previously secured the Sunshine Double by winning Indian Wells and Miami.
She is expected to return to hard court play following her vacation to defend her US Open title in September.
