Arsenal have reached an agreement on a transfer fee to sell Belgian forward Leandro Trossard to Turkish club Besiktas. The 31-year-old has been permitted to travel to Istanbul to complete a medical examination.
Besiktas, a club in the Turkish Super Lig, confirmed that negotiations have begun with Trossard and Arsenal regarding a permanent transfer. Trossard's current contract with Arsenal is set to run until 2027. He initially joined the Gunners from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 for an initial fee of £21 million, plus add-ons.
During his tenure at Arsenal, Trossard has made 174 appearances, contributing 36 goals and 34 assists. He was a key member of the squad that won the Premier League title last season, playing a significant role in matches, including starts in the Champions League final defeat against Paris Saint-Germain and 21 league starts.
Internationally, Trossard represented Belgium in the recent World Cup, starting all six of the team's matches and scoring twice as they reached the quarter-finals.
