The 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season will conclude at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with the Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey on Sunday, Sept. 6. Alex Palou has already secured his fifth series championship, marking his fourth consecutive title and becoming the first driver in INDYCAR history to achieve five championships in a six-year span. He clinched the title on Aug. 30 at the Milwaukee Mile.

The season finale, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on FOX and FOX One, still holds significance for the remainder of the field. Pato O'Ward is contending for podium positions after winning both races at the Milwaukee doubleheader on Aug. 30. O'Ward's sweep of the Milwaukee Mile made him the first INDYCAR driver to win two races in a single day since 1981.

Practice and qualifying sessions will begin on Friday, Sept. 4, with coverage on FS2 and FOX One. Practice 1 is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET, followed by Practice 2 at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 5. Qualifying will take place at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

The Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey will be held at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. This 2.238-mile road course features 11 turns, including the well-known Corkscrew, and has been a part of the racing circuit since 1957. The race is slated for 95 laps, covering approximately 213 miles.

This event marks the 17th and final race of the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.

Coverage of the race can be streamed live via FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App. Fans can also watch the race, practice, and qualifying for three days free on FOX One. Will Buxton will call the race on FOX, accompanied by analysts Townsend Bell and James Hinchcliffe. Georgia Henneberry, Kevin Lee, and Jack Harvey will report from pit road.

Palou also won the most recent INDYCAR race at Laguna Seca, the 2025 Java House Grand Prix of Monterey, held on July 27, 2025.
