All Elite Wrestling's Forbidden Door event is set to take place in San Jose, California, at the SAP Center, featuring a stacked card of championship matches and tournament finals. The event will showcase wrestlers from AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), with five AEW titles and the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship on the line.
Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals
The event will also crown the winners of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's and Women's Tournaments. In the women's final, Mercedes Moné, who entered the tournament as a wildcard, will face the up-and-coming Maya World. Moné has been on a dominant run and is predicted to win, earning a shot at the AEW Women's World Championship at All In. The men's tournament final pits Will Ospreay against Swerve Strickland. Ospreay, who has stated his goal is to main event All In, is favored to defeat Strickland.
Championship Showdowns
The card includes several high-stakes championship matches. The AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship will be defended by the dominant duo of Megan Bayne and Lena Kross against Thunder Rosa and CMLL's Olympia. Bayne and Kross are expected to retain their titles. In the AEW World Tag Team Championship match, veteran champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will face the challenging team of David Finlay and Clark Connors. Despite the challenges, Copeland and Cage are predicted to hold onto their belts.
Jon Moxley will defend the AEW Continental Championship against Bandido, who is seen as a unique threat capable of pulling off an upset. Shota Umino will put the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship on the line against the hard-hitting Pac. Umino is predicted to retain his title.
The AEW Women's World Championship match features Thekla defending against Starlight Kid. Thekla, with support from the Triangle of Madness, is expected to retain her championship in a hard-hitting encounter. A triple-threat tag team match will see The Young Bucks face off against Místico and Máscara Dorada, and Shingo Takagi and Titán, with The Young Bucks predicted to emerge victorious.
Special Attraction Match
A 12-man steel cage match will see Team Briscoe (including Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita, and Darby Allin) face off against AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman's team (including Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Idolo). A win for Team Briscoe is necessary for Mark Briscoe to earn a future AEW World Championship opportunity.
