Product safety officials in the United Kingdom have issued an urgent recall for specific batches of Simple Skincare's Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water. The warning advises consumers to immediately stop using the product due to concerns that it may be microbiologically contaminated.

The affected products were sold through budget supermarket chains B&M, Home Bargains, and Savers. Product safety chiefs stated that the identified batches may contain microbial contamination, which could lead to eye inflammation, characterized by redness or swelling of the eyes.

The specific batch numbers subject to the recall are 613841 and 613941. The barcode number for these affected products is 8720181894381. These batches were manufactured in Poland, and the batch numbers can be found on the bottom of the bottle.

Simple Skincare has stated that the implicated products have been removed from store shelves. Consumers who possess bottles from the affected batches are instructed to cease using the product immediately. Refunds can be obtained from the place of purchase. Alternatively, consumers can contact Simple's helpline by emailing [email protected] or by calling 0800 146 252. Proof of purchase is not required, though providing the affected batch code, if possible, is requested.

For individuals concerned that their health may have been impacted by the product, Simple advises seeking assistance from a medical professional. The company has not specified the type of bacteria potentially present in the contaminated bottles. It has also stressed that no other Simple products, including other sizes or batches of the Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water, are included in this recall.
