Power Plate Meals, LLC, has issued a recall for approximately 5,795 pounds of its frozen Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes due to a misbranding and an undeclared soy allergen. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall, classifying it as Class II. This classification indicates a remote probability of adverse health consequences from consuming the product.

The issue was discovered when a state inspector informed the FSIS that the product's packaging failed to list soy as an ingredient, despite its presence. The affected items are 13.3-ounce vacuum-sealed plastic tray packages of Power Plate Meals Meatloaf with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. These products bear use-by dates ranging from June 25, 2026, to June 10, 2027, and were produced between June 25, 2025, and June 10, 2026.

The recalled meatloaf products were distributed to distributors in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Products subject to the recall can be identified by the establishment number “217SEND” within the USDA mark of inspection.

FSIS has reported no confirmed instances of adverse reactions linked to the consumption of these meal products. Individuals who have consumed the recalled items and are concerned about a potential reaction are advised to seek medical attention from a healthcare provider. Consumers are instructed not to eat the frozen meals and should either dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

The frozen meal consists of ground beef meatloaf topped with barbecue sauce, served alongside mashed potatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower.
