A group of cyclists has completed a 300-kilometer (186-mile) non-stop bike ride from Paris to London in 24 hours, raising £61,000 for the Oxford Hospitals Charity. The event, known as the Ride for Rori, was undertaken in support of seven-year-old Rori, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer over the past 20 months.
The cyclists donned outfits inspired by the pop star Taylor Swift during their journey, which began at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and concluded at Marble Arch in London. Rori, who recently finished her cancer treatment, expressed gratitude for the care she received at the Oxford Children's Hospital, describing the staff as "so helpful and so lovely."
The funds raised will benefit the Oxford Hospitals Charity, supporting the care and treatment provided to young patients like Rori.
