Bonnie Wright, known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise, has revealed that her newborn son, Aster, has been hospitalized six times since his birth five weeks ago. The actress, 35, and her husband Andrew Lococo, 42, are seeking treatment for a condition Aster was born with.
Wright shared the news on Instagram, stating that her son is receiving treatment for a condition the couple was aware of prior to his birth. She described Aster as a "strong, chill little baby" and expressed gratitude for the support of their "village," including family and friends who have helped with their older son, Elio, and provided meals.
Bonnie did not disclose the specific condition Aster has been diagnosed with. The couple welcomed their second child, Aster Sky Wright Lococo, at home on September 28. The name Aster was inspired by the star-shaped flower.
Wright announced her second pregnancy in April, sharing a photo of Elio resting against her growing bump. She previously shared that parenting has influenced her perspective, leading her to admire the unconditional love and resourcefulness of the Weasley family from Harry Potter. In a reflection last year, she described parenting as "beautiful and brutal in equal measure."
