Zendaya and Tom Holland promoted their forthcoming film, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," at a photo call held at Edge in Hudson Yards, New York City. The couple, who are co-stars in the highly anticipated movie, were joined by castmates including Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Destin Daniel Cretton, and Jon Bernthal.

Zendaya's attire at the event paid homage to the film, featuring a pair of spiderweb earrings. She wore the earrings with a white blazer, tie, and thigh-high PVC boots. Holland sported a red jacket, button-down shirt, and slacks.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is scheduled for release on July 31st. This film marks the latest in a series of projects for Zendaya, who recently indicated plans to take a break from Hollywood. She stated her intention to "disappear for a little bit" following a demanding year that included five projects and her wedding to Holland.

"This is such a whirlwind, and you’re kind of like in a new place every second, and your brain is kind of all over the place," Zendaya told Entertainment Tonight regarding her current pace. "It’s fun and I’m grateful, and I wouldn’t change a thing, but sometimes you need to just, you know, disappear for a little bit."

Her recent work also includes a role in "The Odyssey," where her partner Holland also has a part. Zendaya recalled how Holland was informed about his role in the Christopher Nolan film before she was. "Tom got the call, Christopher Nolan called. My heart was just so full. I was so excited for him," she said. Holland later revealed to Zendaya that she would also be involved, asking her to reread the script with a specific character in mind.

"And he goes, 'read this again', and I was like 'why? we just read it last night?', and he's like 'read it again, but with Athena in mind'," Zendaya recounted. "And I was like, 'yo stop it right now'. And I was just like, yeah I freaked out. I was so grateful that he got to be the one to tell me. It was so special."

"The Odyssey," an adaptation of Homer's epic poem, sees the Greek King embark on a journey home after the Trojan War. The film's cast also features Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Robert Pattinson. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released on July 31st and marks just the latest major project Zendaya has completed this year

Zendaya's other recent projects include reprising her role as Rue in HBO's "Euphoria," appearing opposite Robert Pattinson in "The Drama," and starring in "Chani Dune: Part Three." She also voices a character in "Shrek 5," set for a June 2027 release. Zendaya will be returning to her role of MJ in the new Spider-Man film

She also wore a pair of glittering spiderweb earrings - a fitting tribute to her film
