Zayn Malik has reportedly been dismissed by his management team, Zenkai Management, which had been guiding his career since 2022. This decision follows an alleged physical altercation with former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson.

Sources claim that the management felt unable to continue working with Malik, describing the situation as "not a good look." Malik is now reportedly seeking his third manager since launching his solo career.

The incident in question reportedly occurred last year during the filming of a Netflix road trip show. Reports indicate that Malik punched Tomlinson, causing him to suffer a concussion and require medical attention. The altercation allegedly stemmed from comments made by Malik about Tomlinson's late mother.

Following the reported incident, the planned Netflix series, which was intended to feature the former bandmates discussing their lives and One Direction memories, was allegedly scrapped. Reports suggest the two artists have not spoken since the event.

Malik, who departed One Direction in 2015, has faced several obstacles during his career comeback. In January, it was reported that the pair had fallen out during the initial stages of filming for the road trip show. Weeks after the altercation was reported, Malik canceled U.S. tour dates and two U.K. arena shows, citing a need to re-evaluate his schedule after being hospitalized for an unspecified illness. There were also claims that he was disappointed with ticket sales for these shows.

Malik currently resides on a farm in Pennsylvania with his daughter. He has previously spoken about his preference for a quiet life, engaging in hobbies like carving small wooden figures when not working.
