A YouTuber, whom actress Alice Evans has labeled a "stalker," is seeking access to private communications and financial records as the acrimonious divorce between Evans and actor Ioan Gruffudd continues. Andrea Burkhart, an attorney now working as a legal commentator, has filed an application with the Los Angeles Superior Court for access to a trove of material, much of which dates back to 2021, shortly after Gruffudd left Evans.

These communications, including emails and texts between Evans and a former friend, were previously used in a successful bid for a restraining order against Evans. Burkhart contends that only a fraction of this information was examined during the public divorce trial in March and seeks to copy and disseminate the material to her YouTube audience of 130,000 subscribers, who she states are "deeply interested" in the proceedings. Her videos about the couple have garnered over 400,000 views.

In a notable turn, Gruffudd's legal team has backed Burkhart's application, stating that the public has a "right to know" about Evans' "abusive behaviours." His lawyers believe this could mitigate damage to his reputation, asserting that his privacy interests have already been "utterly trampled" by Evans' social media posts.

Evans' legal team is objecting to the move, citing that the evidence includes private medical information about the couple's two daughters, Ella, 16, and Elsie, 12, and is likely to cause them distress. Burkhart has acknowledged the possibility of "limited and targeted redactions" concerning the children but appears otherwise unfazed, stating that "If the consequences of Respondent's conduct are distressing to her children, that should motivate her to make different choices."

Burkhart gained prominence for her commentary on the Johnny Depp defamation hearing against Amber Heard, where she referred to Depp as a "hero." She has since posted numerous videos regarding the Evans-Gruffudd divorce, often referring to Evans as "Malice." In August 2024, Burkhart wrote on social media, "Alice just lies about her financial situation." Last September, Evans was briefly removed from court after attempting to photograph Burkhart, whom she claimed to be a "stalker."

The hearing for Burkhart's application is scheduled before Judge Michael J. Convey. Gruffudd, who was married to Evans for 14 years, left her in 2021 and has since married actress Bianca Wallace. The couple welcomed a daughter, Mila, last year. Ioan Gruffudd was seen leaving Los Angeles Superior Court on May 6, 2026, while Evans also departed the same building on the same date.
