This follows her engagement announcement in 2024 when Akeister proposed in Santorini shortly after her 23rd birthday. Tandy was a contestant on the fourteenth series of The X Factor, competing in the Girls category under the mentorship of Sharon Osbourne. She advanced to week four of the competition, auditioning with Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You" and receiving four judge approvals. At 16, she was the youngest contestant of her season, turning that age during the bootcamp phase.
