Tom Stoltman, a three-time World's Strongest Man champion, has been announced as a new recruit for the BBC's hit show Gladiators. The 32-year-old, 6ft 8in athlete from the Highlands of Scotland is the first Scot to win the prestigious title, which he first secured in 2021.

Stoltman retained his World's Strongest Man title in 2022 and achieved a third victory in 2024. He also holds the title of Britain's Strongest Man for the fourth time, having won in February. A hand injury impacted his performance in the qualifying rounds of the 2026 World's Strongest Man competition.

The fourth series of Gladiators is scheduled to begin filming in Sheffield next month. The show is set to return to BBC iPlayer and BBC One in 2027. Stoltman's specific Gladiator name has not yet been revealed.
