The victim, Jennifer Silva, reported that the assailant attacked her as she left the establishment. She recounted that the robber pulled on her bag, stating, "I'm going to need that," before proceeding to beat her.

Silva sustained multiple injuries, including a broken jaw, dislocated wrist, fractured finger, and lost teeth. She also suffered cuts and bruises to her face, including her chin, mouth, and nose. Police discovered Silva approximately 30 minutes after the incident and transported her to a local hospital.
