A woman who invited her boyfriend and best friend to sleep together said she had no regrets after the encounter, describing the decision as rooted in trust and an established culture of sexual openness in her relationship.
Meg, 24, and her boyfriend Owain, 35, discussed the arrangement on an episode of the YouTube series Love Don't Judge, saying the trio had talked through the plan beforehand. The couple, both adult content creators, met just over a year ago while shooting a video and said their relationship is "built on sexual openness." Meg told the show she identifies as bisexual and works as an escort with regular clients, while Owain has recently been exploring his "bi-curious" side and filming with male performers.
According to the episode, Owain suggested he sleep with Meg's best friend, Bonnie, and Meg said she was not surprised by the idea. "It didn't feel weird, like oh, he wants to sleep with my friend because she's friends with the two of us and we're always cuddling," she said. Bonnie, who said she had "thought about" sleeping with Owain before, accepted the invitation after some initial surprise.
The three were filmed sitting at Meg and Owain's dinner table discussing boundaries and how the day would proceed. Meg said she felt both "nervous" and "excited," noting a worry about potential limits being pushed but adding, "I am really excited because obviously I wouldn't be so on board otherwise." Bonnie said she felt "very honoured and special" to be invited and emphasized the preexisting closeness among the three.
Afterward, the show captured the immediate reaction when Bonnie and Owain returned to the kitchen. Bonnie told Meg they had "a really good time" but left soon after to give the couple space. Meg later told the cameras she had been concerned she might regret allowing the encounter but said she had "no regrets" in the end. Owain said he would do it again and suggested the group could "all get involved next time."
The couple also described facing criticism after joining an online dating site to meet other couples or singles. "A lot of people were saying, 'You just obviously don't love each other' or 'you obviously aren't happy with one another,'" Owain said. Meg responded that their lifestyle and the dynamic of their relationship were personal choices. "This is the lifestyle that we want to live and this is the dynamic of our relationship," she said, adding that they can be intimate with others and still return to each other.
On the episode, Meg asked how Owain would feel if she slept with one of his best friends; he replied that his response would depend on who it was and later said, "Yeah, why not? Swings and roundabouts, isn't it? If I'm allowed to do it, you're allowed to do it." Meg said she would be upset if Owain told her he had a better time with her best friend and joked she would then ask for tips.
The conversation on Love Don't Judge blends descriptions of negotiated consent, open relationship practices and the everyday social dynamics among friends and partners involved in adult entertainment. The couple said they routinely sleep with other people for work and framed the encounter as consistent with their established agreements and trust.
