Amy‑Lucy O’Rourke, whom media outlets have identified as the woman involved in the affair admitted to by television personality Thomas Skinner, said on Monday that she possesses "receipts" and hinted at further revelations about their relationship.
O’Rourke posted on her Instagram Stories to thank supporters and to say she had received hostile messages from a few online trolls but that "the masses can see through his lies." In an interview with the Daily Mail she told reporters the relationship lasted three months and that she has provided evidence including text messages, phone calls, voice notes and CCTV footage. "No‑one knows the full story, the story's massive, the story is insane," she said, adding she had records of messages in which she told Skinner, "I can't believe you've done this to me." She denied revealing details for money or fame and said she was speaking to explain how she had been treated. Daily Mail reporters have contacted Skinner's representatives for comment.
O’Rourke also shared a series of memes on Instagram that appeared to criticize Skinner's conduct. One read, "POV: You gave an ugly man a chance now he's walking around like he did you a favour," while another said, "We love blaming women for choosing the wrong man, but never blame the man who FAKED his entire personality just to get her."
Skinner, an Apprentice alum who is due to appear on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, acknowledged the affair in social‑media posts earlier this week. On X he posted that "when you make a mistake no matter how long ago or how big or small, there are only three things you should do about it: admit it, learn from it, and definitely don't repeat it." He accompanied that post with a photograph of a meal his wife, Sinead, had made, and later deleted the update.
In a longer statement shared on social media, Skinner wrote that the "worst" thing he had done was what he did to his wife three and a half years ago, calling it "one stupid moment I'll carry forever." He said he had told his wife at the time and that she had forgiven him, and that they had since built a home and had two more children. Skinner said family was "everything" to him and that he felt he had become a target amid the publicity, alleging friends of his had been offered money to sell stories and that parts of his private life were being dragged into public debate. He asked that his wife and children be left alone and said he accepted responsibility for his actions.
The parties' accounts differ on the timing and length of the relationship. O’Rourke told the Daily Mail the romance grew after Skinner visited her clinic in June 2022 for a body‑sculpting treatment, and that the relationship lasted about three months. Skinner has described the episode as a "two‑week fling" and has called it a "moment of madness." Media reports say the incident occurred weeks after Skinner and Sinead were married in May 2022.
Both O’Rourke's Instagram posts and Skinner's messages on X are the primary public statements to date. O’Rourke told followers she has provided materials she says substantiate her account. Skinner has spoken publicly about regret and the consequences of his actions but has also said some reporting about him is untrue and that the publicity has affected his family.
The story remains active. Reached for comment, Skinner's representatives had not issued a response at the time of publication. Media coverage has centred on the contrasting accounts of the two parties and on Skinner's standing as a household name ahead of his involvement in a high‑profile television series.
