West Wilson has confirmed his exit from the Bravo reality series “Summer House,” stating that he was not picked up for the upcoming eleventh season. Wilson made the announcement on the “Broadcast Boys” podcast, acknowledging that his departure followed a romance scandal with co-star Amanda Batula.

“I wanted to tell it on my own but that [exit rumor] is true,” Wilson said on the podcast Wednesday. He added that, in Bravo’s defense, “I don’t think it would have been a fun summer.”

Sources connected to “Summer House” had previously indicated to TMZ that Wilson might still make a cameo appearance in the new season, which is scheduled to begin filming around the Fourth of July weekend. Wilson and Batula confirmed their relationship publicly in March, nearly a year after Batula announced her separation from Kyle Cooke after four years of marriage.

In a joint statement released on Instagram, Wilson and Batula explained their decision to keep their romance private initially. "It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it," they stated. They described their connection as growing out of a "genuine, longstanding friendship" and emphasized their desire to "approach this with care."

The fallout from their relationship was a central focus of the “Summer House” Season 10 reunion. Fellow cast member Ciara Miller expressed shock that Batula, her close friend, was dating her ex-boyfriend, whom Miller had dated for four months in 2023. During the reunion, Miller reportedly called Batula a “f–king snake” for pursuing a relationship with her former partner. Kyle Cooke also raised questions about the timeline of Wilson and Batula's relationship, noting that his separation from his wife was publicly announced the same day they broke up, and that Miller had observed Batula and Wilson together two days prior to their joint statement.

Despite the on-screen drama and public scrutiny, Wilson and Batula have continued to see each other, including a recent trip to Italy for a wedding last month.
