Former NFL wide receiver Victor Cruz has announced his engagement to artist, record producer, and DJ Orange Calderon. Calderon shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the proposal and captioning them, “'Mrs. Cruz' has a nice 💍 to it.”
Cruz, 39, presented Calderon with a large oval-cut diamond. The couple’s relationship began to take shape last year, and they were first spotted together at public events in April, sparking dating rumors. They have since shared various travel posts on social media.
The engagement follows Cruz's split from actress Karrueche Tran in February 2021. Their three-year relationship ended due to long-distance challenges, with Cruz residing in New Jersey with his daughter, Kennedy, while Tran lived in Los Angeles.
Cruz, a known fan of the New York Knicks, was also seen with Calderon at games during the team's historic season, which concluded with their first NBA championship in 53 years. He attended Game 4 of the NBA Finals, where the Knicks secured a 3-1 series lead.
