Vick Hope has announced she is taking a temporary break from her role at Radio 1 to spend time with her family. The presenter, who returned to the airwaves in February after welcoming her son, Micah, 11 months, will be stepping away for the summer.

Hope shared the news alongside a candid photo of herself expressing breast milk at work. She explained that while she has enjoyed her phased return to Radio 1, balancing it with freelance commitments, her son is still very young. "So while he's still so small and summer touring season is upon us, this is my last show for a little while as I take my final installment of leave over the coming months so our family can be together," she stated.

This break coincides with the summer club season for her husband, DJ Calvin Harris, who is typically based in Ibiza. Hope and Harris, who married in 2023, welcomed their son Micah in July of the previous year. They announced his arrival via social media posts, with Harris sharing photos and expressing his admiration for Hope, calling her a "superhero."

The couple had a home water birth at their property in Ibiza. Harris's announcement also included a photograph of the placenta, which Hope later had processed into pills. Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, is a highly successful DJ who has sold the rights to his back catalogue for a significant sum. He has previously indicated a desire to focus more on studio production and less on DJing as he approaches 50.

Hope had shared rare pictures of her son and husband in January, marking their first Christmas as a family of three. More recently, she posted photos of herself and Micah enjoying the sunshine in Ibiza.
