Singer Tulisa, 37, shared images from the first day of a sun-soaked holiday, posing in a black-and-white plunging crochet bikini and a matching striped skirt as she spent time with friends at the beach.
The former N-Dubz star flashed a taut midriff, wore her hair straight and later pulled it back while a friend sketched her portrait in a notebook. She and her companions later went for seafood and wine during the outing.
Tulisa also used recent media appearances to confirm she has ended a period of celibacy that lasted about three years, and to discuss how she approaches attraction and relationships. On Jaime Laing’s Great Company podcast she said she is "very picky," that finding someone she is attracted to is "few and far between," and that sexual desire for her follows a deep emotional connection.
"It's less about me going 'no I don't want to have sex with anyone,' it was a case that there was no one I wanted to have sex with," she said on the podcast, adding that when she does develop feelings she can be flirtatious but does not think about sex until an emotional bond is built.
The singer has previously discussed her orientation and experiences on other programmes. During her appearance on I'm a Celebrity last year, she characterised her attraction as based on emotional connection rather than primarily physical desire. On Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast she said she had "periods of being asexual" and that she has been told she is sapiosexual — attracted to intelligence.
Tulisa has also spoken publicly about the long-term impact of a 2012 scandal in which her then-boyfriend released a sex tape. She has described the episode as traumatising, saying it left her feeling "judged, disgusting and ashamed," and has said it affected her relationships. At the time, she said revenge porn was not a criminal offence and that she ultimately received a court apology rather than a conviction.
In addition to discussing her personal life, Tulisa is preparing an autobiography, Judgement: Love, Trials and Tribulations, in which she has said she will be "brutally honest" about topics including addiction, two suicide attempts and the 2012 sex-tape scandal.
She has reiterated that she remains single by choice, saying she does not want to be in a relationship "for the sake of being in a relationship." On the Great Company podcast she defined real love as "time and loyalty, choosing someone every day," and said she experiences that form of love in many friendships.
The photos and recent interviews provide a public glimpse into both Tulisa’s social life and her ongoing efforts to address and narrate difficult episodes from her past while shaping how she approaches future relationships.
