Actress Tricia Penrose has purchased The Aidensfield Arms, the pub where her character Gina Ward worked in the popular ITV series "Heartbeat." The announcement comes 33 years after the drama, set in the 1960s, first aired.

Penrose, 56, who played the role of bartender Gina Ward from 1993 to 2010, revealed her new venture on X, formerly Twitter. She stated she is now the "proud owner" of the establishment, which she acquired in partnership with two local businesses. She shared the news alongside throwback photos of herself at the pub.

In "Heartbeat," Penrose's character, Gina Ward, was a significant figure, eventually becoming the landlady after her uncle's death in the storyline. The character also married local police constable Phil Bellamy.

Penrose's career includes roles in other television series such as "The Royal" and appearances in soaps like "Brookside," "Coronation Street," and "Emmerdale." She has also participated in reality television, including "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2013, and has moved into radio presenting.

The actress recently married Chris, her second husband, in a ceremony she described as marrying "the love of my life." The couple became Instagram official in 2021, following her divorce from her first husband, Mark Simpkin, after 18 years of marriage. They share two sons, Jake and Freddy.
