Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ forthcoming downtown Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime, includes a cocktail listed in honor of Kelce’s fiancee, Taylor Swift, on an alcohol menu released ahead of the restaurant’s opening next week.
Under a section titled "The Players," the menu lists four signature drinks — one each for Kelce, Mahomes and their partners. The entry attributed to Swift is called "The Alchemy," the same title as a song from Swift’s 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department. The cocktail’s ingredients are listed as a clarified citrus vodka blend, dry curaçao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime and an oolong tea finish; the presentation reportedly includes a blow-torch element beneath the glass to add aroma.
The other drinks in the quartet are named "Showtime" for Mahomes, "Big Yeti" for Kelce and "Queen B;" for Brittany Mahomes. The menu places the two partners — Swift and Brittany Mahomes — alongside the two athletes. It was not disclosed whether Swift or Kelce provided input on the cocktail recipe.
1587 Prime’s food offerings, also published ahead of the opening, include high-end steaks such as a Japanese A5 Wagyu strip, a boneless ribeye and a 40-ounce Wagyu tomahawk. The steakhouse will also serve a "Mahomes Ketchup Flight," described on the menu as a lineup of three in-house ketchups inspired by the quarterback’s preferred steak pairing.
The restaurant is a collaboration between Kelce and Mahomes and is scheduled to open next week. Menus for new restaurants are commonly developed months in advance and typically undergo recipe testing and refinement; the items released publicly offer a preview of the dining and cocktail concepts patrons can expect when the doors open.
Representatives for 1587 Prime, Kelce and Mahomes did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Swift’s publicists also did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The menu release follows months of public interest in the personal and professional ventures of the two NFL figures. Kelce and Swift announced their engagement earlier this year, and the inclusion of a drink bearing the name of one of Swift’s songs adds a cultural reference to the restaurant’s upscale dining and beverage program as it prepares to welcome guests.
