Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) has announced its 30th anniversary tour, celebrating the 1996 debut album “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.” The band is set to embark on a North American tour, performing “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” with reimagined staging.
The tour will run from mid-November through late December, featuring a 97-show run. TSO will play multiple dates in New York and New Jersey, including stops at Albany's MVP Arena on December 17, Newark's Prudential Center on December 26 with two performances, and Buffalo's KeyBank Center on December 30 with two shows.
This year's production promises a "spectacular, reimagined staging of the beloved rock theater tale, followed by a high-energy second set," according to a statement from the band. Last year's shows featured a setlist of around 29 songs, including fan favorites like "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)," "Wizards in Winter," and "Christmas Canon Rock."
Tickets for the general public are scheduled to go on sale Friday, September 18, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Presale tickets are available on secondary market sites.
In addition to the tour, TSO's 1999 made-for-television movie, "The Ghosts of Christmas Eve," is available to stream for free on Tubi. The 46-minute film features the group performing a Christmas set alongside scenes with actors Ossie Davis and Allie Sheridan, with special guest appearances by Michael Crawford and Jewel.
