Actor Tom Holland concluded his appearance on the web series "Hot Ones" by vomiting on set, a moment he embraced as a unique distinction for the show.
Holland, promoting his film "The Odyssey," appeared alongside co-star Jon Bernthal in an episode that aired Thursday. After completing the show's signature challenge of eating increasingly spicy chicken wings, Holland became ill while posing for photos with Bernthal and host Sean Evans.
"Let’s go! Let’s go! Take a picture of it! Let’s gooooo," Bernthal exclaimed while putting an arm around Holland.
"You can use that!" Holland said, laughing, after the incident, noting he had avoided soiling his clothes.
When asked if anyone had vomited on the show before, Evans replied, "That might be the first on-set, ever." Holland responded, "I love bein’ the first."
Earlier in the month, Holland provided additional context for the incident during an appearance on the NYT Cooking series with co-star Matt Damon. He explained that consuming milk, which he had been drinking heavily, was the primary cause. Damon mentioned that he had also vomited, though off-camera.
