Tom Holland is set to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story on Friday, joining a roster of actors who have lent their voices to the popular children's program. The announcement comes ahead of the release of his new film, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day."

Holland, 30, will read the family favorite "Superworm," a story about a heroic worm who needs saving by his friends from a greedy wizard. The episode is scheduled to air on CBeebies at 6:50 p.m. on Friday, July 24, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.

The actor becomes the latest in a line of well-known stars, many of whom have portrayed superheroes, to participate in the CBeebies Bedtime Story series. Previous readers include Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Jason Momoa.

Holland's latest film, "The Odyssey," has already achieved significant commercial success, grossing $303 million worldwide since its release on July 16. With "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" slated for release on July 31, attention is turning to which film will become the year's top earner, as pre-sale records indicate a strong opening for the upcoming Marvel movie.

This news follows a recent public appearance where Holland and his co-star Zendaya recreated poses from their first "Spider-Man" press tour a decade ago. The couple, who met on the set of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" in 2016, are currently promoting their latest film together. Zendaya shared a post on Instagram showcasing side-by-side images of them revisiting their early press tour poses, alongside co-star Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned Leeds. Sony Pictures captioned the nostalgic series, "10 years ago already."
