Actor Timothée Chalamet has reportedly expressed discomfort over an OnlyFans creator who bears a strong resemblance to him and uses his likeness to produce explicit adult content. The creator, identified as Eddie Veyro, also known as '@CallMeEddieV,' is said to be making thousands of dollars monthly through his account, which launched three years ago.
Veyro, a Mexican OnlyFans creator in his late 20s, adopted the handle '@CallMeEddieV' as a nod to the 2017 film "Call Me By Your Name," which significantly boosted Chalamet's career. Veyro stated that many people noted his resemblance to Chalamet after the film's release. He initially used the platform for extra income but found it grew rapidly, becoming almost a full-time job.
After gaining 20,000 followers in his first year, Veyro began collaborating on explicit content with other creators, photographers, and companies, eventually reaching over 100,000 followers. He has acknowledged that some users are drawn to his resemblance to Chalamet, but he hopes they stay for his content.
A source told the Daily Mail that Chalamet has been made aware of Veyro's account and the attention surrounding it. The actor's concern, according to the source, stems from the possibility of people mistakenly associating him with content he did not create or approve. "Eddie's likeness is too close for comfort and the content is sexual. His concern isn't Eddie's sexuality or audience. It's simply the possibility of people wrongly associating him with content he didn't create or approve," the source stated.
Veyro, however, maintains that he is not attempting to impersonate Chalamet. "I think people just like that I have a lot of similarities to Timothée but it's just for fun," he told the Daily Mail. "I can't control what they say about the way I look. I don't want to take his name or anything. I have never intended to upset Timothée or copy him. I am not affiliated with him, and he has not endorsed, approved or participated in my account or its content."
"Call Me By Your Name," directed by Luca Guadagnino, starred Chalamet as a 17-year-old who develops a relationship with an older graduate student. The film, and Chalamet's subsequent comments on sexuality, led to ongoing speculation online, despite his public relationship with Kylie Jenner since early 2023.
Veyro has used the earnings from his OnlyFans to purchase an SUV and a two-bedroom house, which he plans to rent out. He also expressed intentions to transition away from explicit content creation, aiming to open a bar or restaurant, drawing on his background in business.
This is not the first time Chalamet has been indirectly linked to OnlyFans. In March, reports detailed his three-year non-exclusive relationship with Sarah Tena, a former adult entertainer who also used the platform. Tena described Chalamet as a gentleman during their time together.
