Actor Timothée Chalamet experienced a moment of being "starstruck" when he met a group of Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders during halftime of the World Cup semifinal match between France and Spain. The game took place on Tuesday afternoon at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
During the break in play, Chalamet, who is dating model Kylie Jenner, reportedly hugged each of the cheerleaders and remarked, "It’s nice to meet you guys. Damn." He also mentioned, "I’m starstruck."
According to reports, Chalamet recognized cheerleader Anna Kate, possibly from the cheer squad’s Netflix show. Anna Kate shared photos and videos of the encounter on social media, expressing gratitude for the experience. "Feeling so incredibly grateful that I get to call this my job and experience opportunities like these with some of my very best friends. My heart is so full," she wrote in an Instagram story.
The cheerleaders also posted a photo with Chalamet on their Instagram, captioning it, "Timmy in Texas! 💙"
Chalamet was also seen in the stands with his father, Marc Chalamet, a native of France. The French-American actor wore a France tracksuit top while cheering for his national team.
In addition to his father, Chalamet was spotted on Fox Sports cameras conversing with David Beckham and his son, Romeo.
France ultimately lost the match 2-0 to Spain, who advanced to the World Cup final scheduled for July 19.
