TikTok and Instagram personality Mitch Greer has shared her perspectives on modern dating, emphasizing traditional etiquette and key indicators of a man's character.
Greer, 26, detailed her non-negotiables for dating on the podcast The Debrief with Savanna Young. She stated that men should pay on the first date, describing the gesture as "gentlemanly," "chivalrous," and "polite." She humorously added that after spending time preparing for a date, the man's contribution of covering the bill is expected. "I've spent three hours in hair and makeup, and you've just shown up!" she quipped.
Beyond financial considerations, Greer also stressed the importance of respectful behavior, particularly towards hospitality staff. She also noted the value of men having strong platonic friendships with women, believing it fosters a better understanding of how to treat women.
Greer posited that a man's relationship with his mother is a significant predictor of his character and how he might treat a future partner. "You should always look at how [a man] speaks to their mother, because that's how you're going to be spoken to one day," she told host Savanna Young.
When it comes to planning dates, Greer prefers a partner who takes the initiative. She likes a man who plans the outing, allowing her to relax and not worry about the details, clarifying that this preference is not about enforcing a "trad wife" or "manosphere" dynamic.
