Tens of thousands of music fans have begun arriving at the Reading Festival, braving heavy rain on the event's first day. The festival, which is expected to draw approximately 100,000 attendees, will continue through Sunday.
The majority of festivalgoers are expected to depart on Monday, with forecasts indicating a drier outlook for that day. Despite the inclement weather, attendees were seen making their way to the site, with some having arrived on Wednesday to set up camp before the rain began.
Performances are scheduled throughout the weekend from artists including Charli xcx, Raye, Chase & Status, Dave, and Fontaines D.C. Rain is anticipated across all three days of the festival.
