This Morning gardener Daisy Payne has given birth to her first child. The 28-year-old ITV personality and her producer partner, Dominic Gatt, announced the arrival of their baby girl on Instagram on Sunday. The couple welcomed Joni Augusta Gatt on September 1.
Payne shared black and white photos of her daughter on social media, stating, "Meet Joni Augusta Gatt, born 1st September We are so in love!" The post garnered numerous congratulatory messages from followers, including from actress Joanna Page and influencer Jemma Solomon.
Payne had announced her pregnancy in April, sharing a video clip on Instagram as she cradled her growing baby bump and joked about it being "a different kind of growing for me this year."
Payne joined the This Morning team in 2020. A year prior, she purchased a Grade II-listed cottage in the Cotswolds and began creating gardening tutorials for her YouTube channel. In May 2023, she spoke with HELLO! magazine about how gardening had helped her cope with the grief of losing her grandad, who died from COVID-19, and her grandmother. She recounted finding solace in her garden after the devastating news, noting a robin's appearance on the day her grandfather died as a sign of his presence.
