Children's entertainer Caterina Mete, known for her work with The Wiggles, has shared details of her profound admiration for the late country music icon Dolly Parton. Mete revealed a large portrait tattoo of Parton on her forearm and recounted a meeting with the singer that took place a year before Parton's passing at age 80.

Mete's connection to Parton has been a lifelong one, with the country singer serving as a childhood idol and enduring inspiration. This admiration led Mete to name her daughter Dolly in honor of the singer.

The meeting occurred in June of the previous year when Parton encountered The Wiggles during their tour in Nashville, Tennessee. A post on The Wiggles' official Instagram page described the encounter as a "dream come true" for Mete. Parton reportedly saw the tattoo and met both Mete and her daughter.

"She was every bit as warm, kind and wonderful as Caterina had always imagined," the post stated, emphasizing the positive memories created. "Such precious memories that will be treasured always."

Dolly Parton's death was confirmed on Tuesday in a video posted by her nephew, Bryan Seaver. Her representatives later released a statement to People, stating that Parton died following a "brief battle with cancer" at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. The statement highlighted Parton's career, noting she "spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched."

Parton had recently withdrawn from several public appearances, leading to concerns among fans about her health. Her passing marks the end of a storied career that spanned decades, leaving a significant impact on music and culture.
