‘The Traitors: New Blood’ Premieres Tonight on NBC with 22 Civilian Contestants

“The Traitors: New Blood” premieres tonight, Sept. 17, on NBC, introducing a cast of 22 civilian contestants to the strategic gameplay of the acclaimed reality competition series. The spin-off will air at 8 p.m. ET, with two episodes scheduled to air back-to-back.

Alan Cumming returns to host the new iteration, having recently earned his third consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program for his work on the original “Traitors.” The show follows the established format: a select group of contestants, designated as Traitors, must secretly eliminate the other players, known as the Faithful, without revealing their identities. Throughout the season, all participants will engage in missions and participate in roundtables where the Faithful can attempt to banish suspected Traitors.

The premiere will feature 22 individuals from various backgrounds across the United States. Among the contestants are Tomica Adams, a pilot from Boston; Shane Beatty, an ironworker from Staten Island; Abbey Benjamin, a nurse from Louisiana; and Kim Daily, a lawyer from Houston. Other participants include Morgan Cook, a content creator; Katie Fites, a marketing manager; Wyatt Gillespie, a designer; and Niyyah Hayes, a therapist.

The cast also includes Madeline Kostopulos, a construction manager; Sherry Kuehl, a writer; Abby Lee, an astrophysicist; and Ben McDonnell, a barrel racer. Additionally, Clyde Moser, a teacher; Xavier Scruggs, an MLB analyst; Logan Smith, a realtor; and Arisa Thomas, a dog groomer, will compete. Joe Vanella, a funeral director; Jay Vinnedge, a physician; Victor Vollbrechthausen, a business executive; and Mark Zgoda, a personal trainer, round out the group.

Viewers without cable can watch “The Traitors: New Blood” through a live TV streaming service. Unlike the original series, this spin-off will not be available on Peacock. DIRECTV offers a five-day free trial and includes NBC in its discounted genre packs, MyNews and MySports.
