Prime Video’s coming-of-age drama The Summer I Turned Pretty will conclude its run with the Season 3 finale, which premieres Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET. The final season was given an expanded 11-episode order, and the last episode will serve as the series’ conclusion.

The show, adapted from Jenny Han’s bestselling trilogy, follows Belly (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), along with friends including Taylor (Rain Spencer) and Steven (Sean Kaufmann), at the fictional Cousins Beach. Season 3 completes the screen adaptation of Han’s three novels.

Season 1 and Season 2 were shorter, with seven and eight episodes respectively; the third season’s 11 episodes brought the series total to 26. Series creator Jenny Han has framed the television run as a direct adaptation of her books, telling Entertainment Weekly that "Three books, three seasons. It feels right to me." No fourth season has been announced, and Prime Video has not indicated plans to continue the story beyond the third-season finale.

Han’s novels that provided the source material are The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), It’s Not Summer Without You (2010) and We’ll Always Have Summer (2011). Outlets covering the series note that the third novel resolves the principal narrative arc; viewers who have not read the books have one final season to see how the characters’ stories conclude on screen.

Producers and the principal cast have kept details of the series finale largely under wraps in promotional interviews, saying only that the season will bring emotional and narrative closure to long-running conflicts and relationships established across the three seasons. The show’s setting and the central love-triangle dynamic between Belly and the Fisher brothers have remained focal points throughout the adaptation.

As a Prime Video original, new episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty are available to stream on Prime Video. Viewers who are not Prime members can begin with Amazon’s 30-day Prime trial, which includes access to Prime Video; standard Prime membership pricing is $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Amazon also offers a discounted Prime for Young Adults program for eligible 18- to 24-year-olds, which begins with a promotional trial period followed by a reduced monthly rate for qualifying members.

There has been public interest in whether the franchise could expand beyond the central story, as Han previously developed a spinoff from another of her properties. At present, no spin-off series tied to The Summer I Turned Pretty has been announced by Prime Video or the show’s producers.

The Season 3 episodes have been released weekly on Wednesdays on Prime Video, and the finale will follow that schedule, arriving in the streaming service’s overnight release window for U.S. viewers. Fans and new viewers alike will be able to stream the concluding episode beginning at the announced release time on Sept. 17.
