New entertainment options are arriving on streaming platforms this week, including "Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu," a new reality series from influencer Alix Earle, and albums from Ellie Goulding and Natalie Imbruglia.

"The Mandalorian & Grogu" will stream on Disney+ starting Wednesday. The film, directed by Jon Favreau, follows Din Djarin and his apprentice, Grogu, on a mission. AP’s Mark Kennedy described it in his review as "an overlong and overviolent chapter, which relies on too many computer effects and exposes the limits of puppetry."

Paramount+ will feature the sixth installment of the "Scary Movie" franchise on Thursday. The horror spoof series returns with a new entry that received a theatrical release in June. AP’s Kennedy called the film "a pastiche of loosely tied skits that riff off current and past horror movies as well as topical events."

Gal Gadot stars in the action thriller "The Runner," debuting Wednesday on Prime Video. Gadot plays a lawyer on a journey through London to kill a client and rescue her son.

Music releases this week include Ellie Goulding's sixth studio album, "I Know Too Much," due Friday. The album's lead singles, "Black Prada Dress," "4 Seasons," and "Ravers," showcase a range of sounds from synth-pop to acoustic ballads and electronic tracks. This marks Goulding's first album since her marriage ended.

Also releasing Friday is Natalie Imbruglia’s seventh studio album, "Algorithm." The Australian-British singer-songwriter’s new work features dreamy guitar pop, with a track like "Upside Down" noted for its earworm quality.

On the television front, Guy Ritchie's "The Gentlemen" returns for its second season on Netflix on Thursday. The series picks up a year after the events of the first season, with Theo James reprising his role as Eddie, who discovers his father's ties to an underground cannabis business and the mob. Hugh Bonneville and Michele Morrone are new additions to the cast.

Glen Powell's "Chad Powers" also drops its second season on Hulu on Thursday. All six episodes will be available, continuing the story of Russ Holliday, who uses prosthetics to pose as an athlete named Chad Powers to continue playing football while trying to maintain his cover.

Influencer Alix Earle's new reality series, "Earle Meets World," premieres Friday on Netflix. The series follows Earle, her sister Ashtin, and their blended family. Earle's stepmother is Ashley Dupré, known for her past connection to a political scandal.

In the gaming world, Bandai Namco's "The Blood of Dawnwalker" is set to release Thursday on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The role-playing game, from Polish studio Rebel Wolves, features a protagonist in 14th-century Europe who becomes a hybrid human-vampire.

Capcom's "Onimusha: Way of the Sword" will be available Friday on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. This installment in the "Onimusha" series, which dates back decades, takes place in a version of feudal-era Japan overrun by demonic forces. The protagonist, samurai Miyamoto Musashi, uses a gauntlet to absorb enemy souls.
