The motoring series The Grand Tour will return to Amazon's Prime Video on September 4 with a new cast of presenters. The upcoming six-part season will feature YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsman, and TikTok personality Francis Bourgeois, stepping in for original hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May.

Clarkson, 66, previously stated that the original trio were running low on ideas and felt they were becoming "unfit, fat and old," leading to their departure from the show. The final episodes with the original hosts aired earlier this year, marking the end of an era that began with Top Gear over two decades ago.

Holland and Engelsman are known for their YouTube show "Throttle House," which boasts over 3.2 million subscribers and focuses on testing and reviewing cars. Bourgeois, whose real name is Luke Magnus Nicolson, gained significant popularity for his trainspotting videos and has accumulated over 6 million followers across his social media accounts. He has previously engaged with notable figures, including the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The new hosts have shared some of their experiences during filming. "We took on the West African Desert. We contended with fighter pilots. We even decided to challenge an entire nation's legal system by protesting from the mountain tops," said Engelsman, hinting at the adventurous nature of the new season. Holland added that they were often left to their own devices in "very, VERY questionable cars" and in "wild environments."

Their adventures are set to span various challenging terrains and explore different aspects of automotive culture. Segments will include crossing the Angolan desert in track cars, exploring Malaysia's car culture, and testing performance cars in California.

Clarkson, Hammond, and May concluded their tenure on The Grand Tour in September 2024. Following their departure from Top Gear in 2014, they launched The Grand Tour in 2016. The trio also featured in "The Not Very Grand Tour," which premiered on April 18 this year. In separate ventures, Clarkson has appeared on "Car SOS," while Hammond and May revisited their old Top Gear studio, reflecting on their time on the show.
