The sequel to the 2006 film “The Devil Wears Prada,” officially titled “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” is now available for digital purchase on-demand platforms, including Prime Video. The film was released on digital platforms on June 30, following a two-month theatrical run.

In “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” Anne Hathaway reprises her role as Andy Sachs, now returning to Runway magazine twenty years after the original film’s events. She steps into the position of features editor under editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, portrayed again by Meryl Streep.

Meryl Streep retains an easy chemistry with Hathaway and Emily Blunt, who returns as Emily Charlton, Miranda’s former first assistant and now a senior executive at Dior. Entertainment critic Johnny Oleksinski of The Post and Page Six praised the returning cast, noting that they “step back into their parts gracefully like no time has passed."

The digital purchase price for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is $29.99. A bundle including both the original film and the sequel is available for $39.99. While an Amazon Prime membership is not required for purchase, a free Amazon account is necessary to access and watch the film. Video-on-demand rentals are typically valid for 30 days and expire 48 hours after playback begins.

The cast also includes Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling, Justin Theroux as Benji Barnes, Emily Blunt’s boyfriend, and Lucy Liu as Sasha Barnes, Benji’s ex-wife. Other cast members featured are Kenneth Branagh as Stuart Simmons, Miranda’s new husband; B. J. Novak as Jay Ravitz, heir to the Elias-Clarke publishing house; and Simone Ashley as Amari Mari, Miranda’s current first assistant. Simone Ashley, best known for starring in "Bridgerton," is one of the new additions to the cast.

Supporting roles include Tracie Thoms as Lily, Andy’s best friend; Tibor Feldman as Irv Ravitz, Runway chairman; Patrick Brammall as Peter, Andy’s love interest; and Caleb Hearon as Charlie, Miranda’s current second assistant. Helen J. Shen plays Jin Chao, Andy’s assistant, and Rachel Bloom as Talia and Larry Mitchell as Mack, both Andy’s friends. Additionally, George C. Wolfe and Pauline Chalamet portray Runway editors Paul and Ilana Poole, respectively, while Wes McGee plays Frank, Emily’s ex-husband.
