Courtney and Sev, participants on the renovation reality show "The Block," have emerged as the competition's most successful contestants, earning a record-breaking $1.87 million profit. The Brisbane-based pair, who entered the show as close friends, have acknowledged that dividing their substantial winnings might be the first true test of their friendship, joking that a mediator might be necessary.

Despite the pressures of the competition, their friendship remained strong throughout the renovation process. However, the enormity of their financial success has led to lighthearted concerns about how the prize money will be split. The duo also shared insights into their relationship with host Scott Cam, admitting that while they eventually grew to appreciate him, his "stern demeanor" occasionally led to them being "in the doghouse."

Courtney and Sev have also addressed accusations of cheating that arose during the season. Specifically, controversy surrounded their "custom artisan wine cellar rack," which they purchased for $14,500. Other contestants questioned the low price, as similar structures can cost up to $100,000. The pair explained that the cellar was classified as "artwork," allowing the vendor to set the price at their discretion, a loophole they maintained was within the show's guidelines.

"If we were genuinely cheating, would Channel Nine have let that happen? No! They would have whipped us!" they stated, defending their actions. Fellow contestant Lisa had confronted them, expressing disbelief at the deal, while Jolene voiced her frustration with the perceived advantage.

Guest judge Dave Franklin lauded the wine cellar installation, calling it the "best wine cellar" he had "ever seen." This positive reception underscored the success of their strategy.

Looking ahead, Courtney humorously remarked that she might "buy herself a husband" with her winnings, while Sev added that they would likely "have a lot more friends now." The pair's property sold for $4.72 million at auction, with a reserve of $3.45 million, resulting in a profit of $1.27 million and placing them $500,000 ahead of the next highest profit earners.
