Actress Abby Elliott, known for her role as Natalie in the FX series "The Bear," has filed for divorce from her husband, producer Bill Kennedy, after nearly ten years of marriage. The divorce documents, obtained by TMZ, state that Elliott filed on Friday, listing July 8 as the date of separation and citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.
Elliott, 39, is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Edith, 5, and William, 3. She is also seeking spousal support from Kennedy and has asked that the court not award him any. Additionally, Elliott has requested that Kennedy cover her legal fees.
A representative for Elliott did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Elliott and Kennedy first met in 2014 on the set of the movie "Sex Ed," which Kennedy wrote and Elliott starred in. Their romance began shortly after, and Kennedy proposed in October 2015. They married in September 2016.
The couple welcomed their first child, Edith, in October 2020, and their second child, William, in June 2023.
Elliott, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live" from 2008 to 2012, has also appeared in films such as "No Strings Attached," "Life Partners," and "Cheaper By The Dozen," as well as TV shows including "2 Broke Girls," "How I Met Your Mother," and "King Of The Hill."
Kennedy is a producer and writer known for his work on "House Of Cards," "Tell Me Lies," and "The Morning Show."
