FX’s Emmy-winning series, “The Bear,” returns for its highly anticipated fifth season on June 25, with a reduced episode count. Season 5 will feature eight episodes, a decrease from the 10-episode seasons seen in seasons two through four. The season finale, titled "The Original Beef of Chicagoland," is set to air on August 6.
The series picks up the day after the events of the previous season, with Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) having expressed his intention to leave the restaurant. New episodes will premiere on FX every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
The season premiere, "Soda," and the second episode, "Lamb," were available on Hulu and FX on June 25. Subsequent episodes will air weekly on FX:
- Episode 3, "Mint": July 2
- Episode 4, "Ribs": July 9
- Episode 5, "Raspberries": July 16
- Episode 6, "Focaccia": July 23
- Episode 7, "Caramel": July 30
- Episode 8, "The Original Beef of Chicagoland": August 6
FX confirmed in May that the fifth season will be the show's last. No official reason was given for the series' conclusion, but details are expected to emerge in post-season interviews. There are no plans for a sixth season.
"The Bear" is available for streaming on Hulu, with subscription plans starting at $10.99 per month for the ad-supported tier. Ad-free viewing costs $18.99 per month. Bundle options with Disney+ and Max are also available.
