Bec Cvilikas, a personality from the reality television series ‘The Bachelor,’ and her fiancé Kody Griggs have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Elsie Jay.
Cvilikas shared the news on social media, posting a series of photos from the maternity ward showing the couple with their newborn. In one image, Cvilikas cradles the baby while Griggs embraces them. Another photo captures the new parents looking at each other. "Don’t ever wake me from this dream. Our daughter, Elsie Jay," Cvilikas wrote in her announcement.
Fellow ‘Bachelor’ alumni and friends offered congratulations in the comments. Irena Srbinovska, a veteran of the show, commented, "Aww she's here!! Congratulations to you both!! Hope you're doing well mumma," while her husband, Locky Gilbert, added, "Beautiful."
Cvilikas and Griggs announced their engagement in July of the previous year, following a sunset proposal on the beach. Footage shared on Instagram documented Griggs getting down on one knee with a diamond ring as waves crashed in the background. "A forever thing," Cvilikas captioned the moment, which was set to Chris Stapleton's song "Joy Of My Life."
The couple, who have largely kept their relationship private, have reportedly been dating for several years. Their engagement followed Cvilikas's time on ‘The Bachelor’ during Gilbert's season in 2020. She later made headlines addressing a past feud with former friend and co-star Bella Varelis, with whom she had shared a flat. Cvilikas stated at the time that she and Varelis had no contact and she would not disclose the reasons for their estrangement, adding that they had "well and truly closed the chapter."
