Teresa Palmer welcomes fifth child, reveals newborn's name Lotus Bloom Palmer

Australian actress Teresa Palmer has welcomed her fifth child with husband Mark Webber. The baby, a daughter named Lotus Bloom Palmer, arrived early Friday morning after a home waterbirth, Palmer revealed in an Instagram post.

Palmer, 39, shares Bodhi Rain (11), Forest Sage (8), Poet Lake (5) and Prairie Moon (3) with Webber, and is also stepmother to his teenage son Isaac Love from Webber's previous relationship with actress Frankie Shaw. The couple wed in 2013 while Palmer was pregnant with their first child, a detail Palmer has previously celebrated in interviews and social media posts.

Palmer posted a series of photos to her 1.2 million followers, showing the newborn peacefully sleeping and family members gathered around. In the caption, she announced the baby's arrival and name: "Welcoming our baby GIRL! Lotus Bloom Palmer." She added that Lotus Bloom "arrived early yesterday morning with the sun after a beautiful home waterbirth. Three girls, Three boys. Feels like we’re dreaming." The baby weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces (3.7 kilograms) and was born at 5:40 a.m. on Sept. 19.

The post also highlighted gratitude for the birthing team, with Palmer thanking Libby Lamb, Julie Schiller (whose fourth birth with Palmer this time is noted in the post), and Jerusha Sutton, described as her birth photographer/doula. "Our birth team held us in every way, forever grateful to the greatest team that exists—Libby Lamb, the beautiful Julie Schiller (our 4th birth together!) and our birth photographer/doula Jerusha Sutton. I felt so strong, at ease and empowered in your care and it led to us having the birth of our dreams," she wrote."

Friends and followers quickly offered congratulations, with Lindy Klim, Megan Gale and Lauren Brant among those leaving well-wishes in the comments, praising the family’s joy and Palmer's strength during birth.

The arrival adds to a growing household that has long documented its milestones on social media, placing Palmer and Webber among a circle of Australian celebrities who frequently share family moments online.
